Is Herbalife (Herbal Life) A Scam: A Critical Review

Ok, I will clarify this now.

Herbalife is not a scam.

In the actual sense, there are not many Network Marketing scams out there.  Almost everyone is calling every company a rip-off on the internet.

You have to understand a fact though; people that say a particular Network Marketing company is a rip-off are mostly the people that I named “Tired Kickers”. The same people are not willing to carry out whatsoever it requires to be victorious in the MLM Company. These are the people that one way or another believes that their upline is expected to do the entire job for them. These are the people that let situations that they can’t control get in the way of their triumph. These are the people that are not unswerving enough to be profitable in the Network Marketing business.

I am not a partner with Herbalife.  So I certainly don't have any benefit by saying they are a legit company.

Before you start taking to heart all the stories and forums you read online, you have to first look at how long Herbalife has been in business. This company started in 1980 and has been growing since then.  MLM scams can not last that long without being shut down.

Herbalife is even listed on the York Stock Exchange, and is part of Direct Selling Associations around the world.

Herbalife has around 1.9 million representatives around the world. They are doing business in 70 countries the last I checked.  They had $3.8 billion sales volume in 2008.

This company paid compensations worth of $2.4B to their representatives in 2007. This is a rare occurrence in any MLM Company.

Do you need any more proof that Herbalife is not a Scam?

So why are they calling Herbalife a scam?

These are folks that were by no means taught the most essential skill that you need to have in order to be profitable in Herbalife or other MLM company.  This skill is marketing.  We Network Marketers overlook the fact that we are marketers.
Some of them that know that must market are marketing the wrong thing.  I will put this as straightforward as I can put it. You have to market yourself. This company is doing a nice job of promoting themselves already.

THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS.

PEOPLE WILL DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE.

Folks that go to the internet saying that Herbalife is a scam are the people that refuse to figure out this basic notion.  These same people will call all other MLM companies a scam.
