Network marketing isn’t a get rich quick business.The Network Marketing or Multi Level Marketing (MLM) business is set up to provide long term income in the form of residual income, not fast short term income.

Residual income is income that keeps coming in from work you did once. Writing a book or selling a song you wrote are ways to get residual income. Wealth builders like Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad) and Donald Trump believe in residual income and network marketing as a way to build long term income. You can think of it like an investment, like a CD or IRA.

The problem is that most network marketing representatives don’t understand this. They work and market their business as a fast way to short term income. And there are some distributors that are “super-stars” and jump right to the residual income wealth, just as some books jump right to the top of the NY Times best seller list.
