A 3rd Party Review Of Globe Travel Network – Next MLM Giant Or Will It Fall Flat On It’s Face?

So there’s a new Travel-based network marketing company that’s in pre-launch that’s getting a lot of buzz on the internet lately by the name of Globe Travel Network, or GTN. You’ve probably already gotten an email about it or a message in your inbox on Facebook from an excited GTN rep. But before you go and pull your credit card out, I would highly suggest that you read this review first, so you are equipped to make an educated decision. In this review, I will go into what GTN is and the compensation plan that they have.

First things first, GTN is a very new company that is set to officially launch in the first week of August, 2010. Because they are in pre-launch, there isn’t much information available on them. In fact, the GTN website looks more like a blog, that has a few posts on it and some information on when the presentation webinars are being done.  What’s clearly evident is that it is a new company that is positioning themselves to capitalize on the $8 billion travel industry. It’s important to note that while there are a few travel based companies that are thriving, there have also been quite a few that have failed, and some that were once doing quite well , but are now steadily declining. Of course, that doesn’t mean that GTN will not be successful. But if you are looking to partner with them, you should know how other similar companies have done.

The company CEO is John Breck. And, rumor has it that Rod Cook, from mlmwatchdog.com is also involved. If that’s true, then it goes against the notion that GTN is a scam as Cook is a pretty well known figure in the network marketing arena. In addition, on some of the websites I’ve seen, it says the corporate team has a combined 100 years of experience in network marketing.

As far as their product is concerned, it looks like it will revolve around timeshares. With GTN’s membership, you can access over 4,200 resorts around the globe offering the same resort style accommodations and amenities with a range of cost from as low as $299 to a high of $950 for the property. In addition, the membership will save you the hassle and upfront costs of actually purchasing a time share. The cost of the membership is $199.95 plus a processing fee (and then $99.95 for future vacations).

As far as the business opportunity goes, during the pre-launch you can join for free and lock a spot in the company’s structure. Once the company launches, you will need to “upgrade” and pay an entry fee (I couldn’t find what the entry fee would be). It looks like they are providing a platform for people to market online by providing lead capture pages, autoresponders, online presentations and some other tools.

The compensation plan is a binary with a 2-up coded bonus. Again, there’s not a lot of information available on the compensation plan. However, according to some sites I’ve seen, you’ll be able to make money with retail sales, direct commissions, leveraged earning from your team’s production and residual income. I believe the income you’ll make from your team’s production will be in the form of $50 cycle bonuses. A cycle occurs when there are 6 sales on one side of your binary, and 3 sales on the other.

You will get a chance to get paid daily, weekly and monthly. And, your income will be paid to you via a debit card for convenience.

It’s too early to tell how successful GTN will be. In the past, there have been a tremendous amount of hyped-up travel programs. However, if GTN becomes the next big thing in the network marketing industry, it may be worth holding a spot since it’s currently free to join. If you do decide to get a position, and GTN explodes over the next couple of months or years, you will still need to learn how to market and generate leads online if you want to build a huge business. By combining a powerful attraction marketing system with GTN’s platform (and getting positioned early), you can potentially be on your way to building a wildly prosperous business for yourself.

Sadly, most GTN reps will never achieve the success they want because they lack the marketing skills needed to sponsor 10-20 reps a month.
