If you’ve been on the internet for some time, and you’re a network marketer, then chances are you’ve heard of the concept of Attraction Marketing. In fact, the most successful online network marketers promote Attraction Marketing as a key ingredient to their success. In a nutshell, the concept revolves around the idea that you should attract prospects to you, instead of chasing them down. And while having a blog is not a requirement to succeed as an “attraction marketer”, having one is a good idea for many reasons. One of the reasons why it works so well for marketers is that it can function as a central hub where you can post your content in a way that you can control.

If you’re thinking about starting a blog or you’ve just starting blogging, it can be a little overwhelming. So in this article, I will give you 4  basic tips to get you going:

1. Use A Self Hosted Platform – While it may cost you a couple of dollars to pay for hosting, using a self hosted platform will give you a lot more control of your site and content. It’s not worth blogging on a free blog site if the powers that be have a say on what you can and can’t put on your blog, and can totally delete your account if they don’t agree with your content. Paying a few bucks today will save you from a world of frustration later if this occurs.

2.  Provide Good Content – For obvious reasons, you will want to post quality, useful content. You can post articles, reviews and useful tips that you think your audience would find valuable. I want to emphasize the point of posting valuable information because you’re audience will not be compelled to come back if they think the information isn’t valuable to them. In addition, you can use videos and pictures in your post, as opposed to just having all of them in text form.

3. Post Content On A Regular Basis – Besides the fact that search engines love new, original content, posting on a regular basis will also keep visitors coming back. By posting regularly and building a following of repeat visitors, you can constantly expose people to your content and stay on the top of their consciousness. And this is exactly what you want as a marketer.

4. Promote Your Blog – It’s very difficult to get visitors to your blog if no one knows about it. Promote your blog every chance you get using videos, articles and in your email signatures. The more you promote it, the more traffic you’ll get.

In closing, a blog will be a great central hub for you to drive traffic to so that people can get to know you before checking out your capture page. While there’s obviously more to blogging than these 4 tips, this should set you on the right path if you’re a new blogger.
