Should You Be Using Twitter For Your Network Marketing Business?

I recently received an email from Mike Dillard giving me his Twitter URL. In fact, he sent the email and invited all the people on his Magnetic Sponsoring email list.

Why would he do that?

More importantly, why should YOU also be using Twitter for your Network Marketing business?

Twitter, as many of you may already know, is basically a free social networking and micro-blogging service that can be used to stay in touch and keeping up with friends no matter where you are or what you're doing.

Twitter allows its users (a.k.a. twits) to send updates (otherwise known as tweets) which are text based posts of up to 140 characters in length. You can get instant updates over your mobile phone, or can just check on the web. You get to choose how connected you want to be.

Now, what's this got to do with your Network Marketing business?

Good question.

Well, it's all about staying connected to your audience, building and maintaining relationship by continued communication. This is one of the key elements in the new 'attraction marketing' model where you attract people to you by providing value and sharing your expertise to people.

Twitter makes this continued connection very easy to do.

Another good thing about using Twitter is, and one of the reasons why Mike Dillard decided to invite everyone on his Magnetic Sponsoring email list, is that he'll be able to send people links to every new issue of his Magnetic Sponsoring Newsletter without having to worry about getting through the spam filters.

Here's is how it works.

You give people your Twitter URL, just like Mike Dillard did. For example, I give out http://www.Twitter.com/HiroKaneko.

You can send yours out to your email list, give it out via blogs, MySpace, Facebook, etc.

When someone clicks on the link and goes to the page, he or she can choose to either follow you or leave the site without choosing to follow you.

If someone chooses to follow you, he or she will be seeing your updates... about anything. It's kinda similar to those updates you see on facebook.

In essence, you can keep in touch with more people about anything. And the more people see you and hear from you, the more likely the audience will buy from you or want to know more about what you offer.
