Stop Buying MLM Leads and Calling People. Create Your Own

This article is to create an awareness for all MLM business owners and networker marketers in understanding they will do much better in generating their own leads, then they will buying them.

I hear many MLM distributors complain about not being able to generate leads.  It's the number one issue, lead flow.  But in order to get the lead flow, you need to generate the traffic to begin with.   A still "all to common" issue within the MLM business, is they are still being told to buy leads and call people.

Part of me wants to be shocked that this is still common place.  The other part of me isn't surprised because lead vendors make a ton of cash by selling leads and top company leaders often get nice cuts from the referrals.  That's not to say that's exactly happening with your MLM business, but it is a fact.

Buying leads and calling people runs rampid among several network marketers period. No matter what company they represent. This old school method goes like this:

Make a list of family and friends and hound them.  When that source runs out, buy leads.  When those names run out, buy more.  And, unless you're a high pressure sales guy/gal, here's the bottom line.  You spend thousands of dollars on leads, even ones claiming to be specific MLM leads.  Some may have been through a MLM overview presentation.

I spent over $15,000 on leads when I first started (this was what I was taught) and they were specific to my company.  Well, guess what?  Zero sales.

It's ashame that MLM business owners don't know how to build their business from the ground up when they get started.  Its typically the blind leading the blind.  Many newbies don't realize they can head outside of the realm of their sponsor and company for awesome MLM training.  There's generic training offered all over the place that teaches entrepreneurs how to market, how to brand themselves and how to generate leads.

One system I recommend is MyLeadSystemPro.  They offer all internet marketing training which is extremely helpful to the MLM entrepreneur.  It gives them the edge and allows them to be in control of their marketing and lead generation.

And let me say this... 99% of all MLM entrepeurs, are not salespeople.  So even if your sponsor is closing sales through leads and phone calls.... it's because they are salespeople gurus.  Is that really how you want to build your MLM business?

Probably not.  There are several ways to build your business and rather than spend time, energy and lots of money on buying leads, spend those resources on your education and systems that will allow you a massive amount of MLM leads coming through your door everyday.

If the truth be told, and I'm all about the truth, most MLM entrepreneurs just are too lazy to learn how to generate leads themselves.  There is a learning curve.  It's not just the MLM business owners though, I'm not picking on them.  It's across the board in all network marketing companies.  People don't want to take the time to learn.  If they would, they could write their ticket to freedom.

So in summary, I recommend not buying MLM leads, but rather learn to generate your own.  Yes, it's going to take a bit of learning, but you'll be glad you didn't waste any of your money on junk leads that really should just be flushed down the toilet.

Strive to be a leader and set the example for your MLM team, even if your sponsor is not doing lead generation.  You do it.  It's all part of being an entrepreneur and you'll see a tremendous explosion in your MLM business.
